waseh.orgWashington Alliance for Students Experiencing Homelessness (WASEH) is an alliance of students, families, educators, and providers who are looking for ways to better support students who are homeless.

This website was created to provide information to homeless students and educators about students’ legal rights and to connect students with support services.

The WordPress website was Responsively Designed to accommodate students who use cellphones more frequently to access websites. I also produced posters, bookmarks and business cards to help introduce the website to multiple audiences.

This website was created through a partnership between the Puget Sound Education Service District and Columbia Legal Services.

Road Map Race to the Top

In the fall of 2012, seven King County school districts joined forces as the “Road Map Consortium” to compete in the federal “Race to the Top” competition. This region was one of only two applicants to win the maximum award of $40 million. The winning grant covers 261 schools and supports 150,000 students, including 36,000 high-need children.

The Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) is responsible for managing the grant and acts as the fiscal agent. I was asked to create a website that would provide information about the “Road Map Region” and promote the local Race to the Top grant.

For this website, I created a custom WordPress Theme that is user friendly and easy for site editors to modify and update with new content.

Educare website

Educare School of Greater Seattle is one of 19 early learning facilities nationwide that implements the national Educare model: a high-quality, innovative, and research-based early learning program that prepares young, low-income children for school.

Over the course of this project, the original website design changed to reflect the color palette used by the National Educare Learning Network. Educare School of Greater Seattle is operated by the Puget Sound Education Service District (PSESD).

This WordPress website was created to promote Seattle’s Educare school and provide information to student’s families, educators, legislators and donors.
